Also the high yields that are returned from property investment are much more obvious today where the interest rates are low and property prices low too. It is much better today to enjoy income from property than leaving money in the bank. It took about 6 years for the net rental income to be high enough to replace a job. But it's a business, and if you don't run it like a business, you will lose money. That means no tenants living there for free because they have a great sob story (or you like them), and you have to be willing to evict people quickly when they don't pay.
