In my short blogging career, I have realized that the best way for small blogs to gain attention is to hold contests for various money-making prizes.  I recently participated in one, and the first-place prize was an exclusive theme from Unique Blog Designs.  I lost.  Big deal.  But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other contests to go around.

Enter the first ever contest from EzMoneyOn.Net.  The prizes to be awarded are as follows:

First Place – $100

Second Place – 1000 Entrecard Points

Third Place – 125 x 125 Banner Design Ad

The full contest rules can be found here.  But, in short, you can enter in any one of the following four ways:

1) Write a post (of at least 100 words) about this contest.  Include two links: one to the contest page, and one to the EzMoneyOn.Net home page.  (You gain 3 entries this way.)

2) Subscribe to the EzMoneyOn.Net RSS feed through a reader.  (You gain 2 entries this way.)

3) Subscribe to the EzMoneyOn.Net RSS feed by e-mail.  (You gain 2 entries this way.)

4) Write a recommendation for EzMoneyOn.Net on Entrecard.  (You gain 1 entry this way.)

Once you have entered, all you have to do is leave a comment on the contest post and identify which of the four methods above you chose.  The blog will assign a unique number to each of the participants and will randomly generate three random numbers for three random winners.

The contest ends on March 11, 2008.  On March 12, 2008, the blog will announce the winners and post a list of all the participants with links to their blogs.

If you win this contest, or if you place second or third, you get some nice awards.  $100 is attractive, but Entrecard points and a banner ad are also very valuable.

Even if you don’t win, as a participant, you gain value.  EzMoneyOn.Net is going to list all of the participants in this contest.  Thus, just by participating, you get listed.  And the increased traffic to this contest post will, no doubt, drive traffic to your blog.
