When I was first starting out, I thought paying cash for everything was the best way. I quickly found out that having no credit history is almost as bad as having bad credit.

It does take a while to establish a good credit score, and you are right if you are new and you do not have any kind of credit score it is almost as bad as having defaults. I think it is probably because so many first-time users go mad when they get their first credit card and this spoils its for everybody else. Best advice I suppose is to start off well and keep it up.

If your credit is bad, there are also certain car dealerships that will assist you in building your credit back up.
