Posted by Robert as Make Money Online
I received a lot of hits and inquiries about this, so I figured I would re-post this article about Casey’s offer. (See below.) Some people think it’s a scam.  But the point here is that this offer is FREE, and you receive helpful information that doesn’t cost you a penny. It’s worth looking into, and all you need to do is submit an e-mail address. Why not check it out? Â
Is It A Scam?Â
I know what you’re thinking. Wait, this is a scam!! What’s the catch??Â
Believe me, I express the same skepticism with any perceived get-rich-quick program or scheme. But here, this training course is . . . FREE. He claims he’d normally sell it for $497, and that its real value is $1,082. Whether or not it’s worth that much money, it still doesn’t cost you a penny to sign up for it. Once you receive it via e-mail, you can look through it and glance at it. If you still think it isn’t legit, exit out of it. What would that cost you? Five minutes? Ten minutes? Not much time. And, what’s more, you didn’t spend a cent.Â
Shawn Casey’s Motives
Before I signed up, however, I asked myself the following question: If this training course does provide methods and strategies for making a lot of money online, why is he just giving it away? Why not sell it and make even more money?Â
Surprisingly, on that offer page, he answers my question almost immediately. He writes: “Why am I giving away all this in-depth information when I could just be selling it and putting even more cash in my pocket? Fair question. The truth is that I have an ulterior motive. After you review the ‘Internet Business-In-A-Box’ and find out how much money you can make in your own Internet business, then I’m certain you’ll be checking out all my other products and services that will help you make even more money. And then I’ll have another happy customer for life.”
Good point. It makes sense that he would try to promote his products and services, and what better way to attract massive amounts of attention and traffic than by offering something valuable for free? Businesses do this all the time. He emphasizes that “this is only for a limited time as part of a marketing test.” So this is a marketing campaign, and it’s also a test to see if such a campaign brings him more business.
What You Learn From The Internet Business-In-A-Box Â
I signed up for the training course myself, and, once I got my e-mail confirmation, I logged into the website to see what it was all about. The course contains 6 resources or lessons (in the form of audio recordings and Adobe Acrobat downloads) for making money online:
1) How to make $1,000 on the Internet in 48 hours with no products or money. Casey offers the “secrets” of ”Internet Gurus” and claims to show you ”exactly” how to make that much money in such a short period of time.
2) A 62-minute recording in which Casey and another Internet millionaire (Jeff Paul) reveal information about online product secrets that “the other gurus don’t want you to know.”
3) An exclusive handbook that details how to have automatic cash deposited into your bank account without any customers.
4) A private interview with a “little-known marketing genius from Lincoln, Nebraska” about how to have thousands of people promoting and selling your products and services.
5) A secret, guaranteed 4-step system for creating promotional ads that get “outrageous results” and help you succeed online.
6) The last resource is a “free bonus” and is a 3-part series from a legal expert that helps you eliminate taxes and protect your assets from lawsuits.Â
I haven’t had the time to listen to and read all of these resources, but they seem like they’re worth the time. They appear to be geared toward marketing, and, to be honest, no business succeeds without marketing. Thus, if you have an online business or are considering starting one, it doesn’t hurt to take in this information and see if it’s helpful. If anything, you can come away with some new knowledge about how to promote your business. If they are legitimate techniques for advertising, marketing, and promotion, you can probably apply some of them to your business and see what happens. And the best thing about it is that it’s free.Â

1Hmmmm, well, I guess I’ll check it out. The only problem I have with stuff like this is the time. There is so much information out there, it’s hard to absorb it all. Still, it’s worth a look. Thanks for the tip!

2Hey Dave, thanks for the comment. Look, it’s free, so the only thing it does cost is your time. But even if you devote several minutes to this information each day for a week, you might gain some useful knowledge. Casey claims to be a millionaire, and he might very well be. If he’s willing to give out free information, I’m all for it.

3Not sure if I’d want to enter my email address in there. All I can say is if you’re gonna enter your email address at least add something to track it or something. That way you can see who’s selling your email address.
I know I have gotten spam from dealing with Shawn Casey because he sold my email address. I usually track my address by signing up with say for eg. Jay34 in the name field and then the next one will be Jay35 and so on.
When I get spammed they’d usually send you email like, Hello Jay34 so I can go back and see who I signed up with using that ID.

4Hi Jay, thanks for the comment. I understand what you’re saying. But I can attest to the fact that Casey hasn’t sold my own e-mail address. I entered my e-mail address to receive this Internet Business-In-A-Box, and all I got were periodic e-mails from Casey offering other products. I didn’t feel like I wanted them, so I simply unsubscribed.

6Shawn Casey is now sell his business in a box, i made the mistake of purchasing it and have had my credit card charged numerous times for the same item.
I also tried one of his Godware Programs on a 30 day trial period, but when I went to cancel I couldn’t. According to the emails (no phone number to contact) I’m not registered.
I supplied them with the email confirming my registeration, but I still don’t exist to them only my credit card does. I can access the program with the information I provided to them, but everytime I try to cancel my membership it won’t allow me to. Guess, he has it set up so you can’t and he can keep charging you over and over and over again.
BTW, I’ve never received the Business in a box, but I’ve paid for it numerous times.
Ethical, not in my opinion.
