He's required to pull 32 hour shifts at regular intervals. He says he gets so tired it affects his work and the patients suffer for it. The bosses won't change the program, because that's traditionally what its been like and its supposedly good for training to be saturated with work. But the poor patients.. I remember doing something similar in my first IT job. The client had to go live before a certain date. We got into the country in the wee hours of the night. Right away when we got to the hotel we had to jump onto a conference call. I fell asleep and was snoring, yet was forced to shower and change and head for the office. 3 days with no sleep... Why don't Project Managers/Managers just get it? You need sleep... oh, I forgot THEY were probably asleep and thinking of their bonus while we were working our a$$es off for peanuts... and a "thank you".
