I am going to be doing something new every Sunday.  I will provide a recap post in which I document a variety of things.  I got this idea from Alan Johnson over at The Rating Blog.  I think it’s a nice way to end the week by giving my readings an overview of everything that’s going on with this blog.

The items I’ll be recapping and documenting are (1) the previous week’s posts on this blog, (2) any guest posts I do on other blogs, (3) the most interesting posts from the blogs of my top commentators, and (4) any other blogs that linked to this blog or featured one of my posts.

So, without further adieu, welcome to this blog’s first Flimjo Recap . . . .

This Week’s Posts

On Monday, I started off with some wisdom from one of my favorite money and investing experts by listing 10 quotes from Robert Kiyosaki.

On Tuesday, I provided a comprehensive resource for real estate investing by listing 12 useful books by Robert Shemin, the author of the recently published book How Come That Idiot’s Rich And I’m Not?  I also wrote about a well-known broker, Lone Star Securities, that helps people invest in oil and gas companies, an important investment today given the recent and continuing fall of the U.S. dollar.

On Wednesday, I cautioned against the well-known advice of financial advisers and brokers to diversify your investment portfolio.

On Thursday, I took a piece of wisdom from Timothy Ferriss’s book, The 4-Hour Workweek, and expanded on it, emphasizing that what you do for a living does not reflect who you really are.  I also wrote about John Chow Dot Com’s 10,000 Entrecard credit giveaway.

On Friday, I provided a short video from one of Robert Shemin’s seminars where he offers 7 money-making ideas.

Finally, on Saturday, I wrote about The Net Fool’s Outrageous Blog Contest.

My Guest Posts

I wrote about 10 inspiring quotes from Ernest Hemingway’s novels over at Alex Shalman’s blog.  Hemingway is my favorite 20th century writer, and his novels are full of rich symbolism and priceless wisdom.
