Posted by Robert as Recaps
The items I’ll be recapping and documenting today are (1) the previous week’s posts on this blog, (2) any guest posts, if any, that I submit on other blogs, (3) the most interesting posts from the blogs of my top commentators, (4) my five favorite posts from other blogs, and (5) any other blogs that linked to this blog or featured one of my posts. Â
And here we go.Â
This Week’s Posts
On Monday, I reached into my bag of old posts and reiterated how you can save $1,000 per year by bringing your own lunch to work instead of buying lunch.
On Tuesday, I made a compelling case for why the 8-hour work day is a bunch of crap.
On Wednesday, I explained how, as a real estate investor, you can pay almost zero taxes on your rental income.
On Thursday, I followed up Wednesday’s post with 8 additional tax deductions on rental income.
On Friday, I used a YouTube video to explain some of the simple advantages that index funds have over mutual funds.
Finally, on Saturday, I encouraged everyone to write their own farewell e-mails for when they leave their day jobs.
Guest Posts
Last Friday, May 2nd, Jim Regan from The Net Fool published a guest post I wrote on his blog that lists and explains 8 reasons why mutual funds make for lousy investments. (I wasn’t able to include this link in last week’s Flimjo Recap because I was out of town, and I didn’t know when Jim was going to post it.) Thanks again, Jim!Â
