I had no idea where to go from where. See, I am a total amateur when it comes to anything HTML-related. When I set up this blog, I had customer service from BlueFur (my host) help me out. I generally have no clue what I’m doing.  I have a bachelor’s degree in English and a law degree.  So, for the most part, I have no background in computer-related terminology and tasks and have taught myself a lot of things I’ve done with this blog.Â
So there I was with no idea how to take that next step with setting up my second blog . . . one that I have high hopes for.
I went onto Google and feverishly searched for “wordpress installation,” “installing wordpress,” etc. Thankfully, I came across an excellent, point-by-point, guide from David at BloggingPro on the Wordpress installation process.
It covers everything from uploading the files to setting up your SQL database and editing the config file (the latter two steps were where I got stuck). It helped me fly through the rest of the installation process. I’m past all that now, and I’m working on the content and layout of my new blog.Â
If you’re an aspiring blogger but a computer amateur and illiterate like me, I encourage you to check out David’s post on how to install Wordpress. Â

2That’s what I had done before, but then I forgot how to do it and whether it would be installed in the right directory.
