I was looking around on YouTube, and I found this short video from Robert Kiyosaki.  (There are many others as well.)  It briefly explains the philosophy that underlies his books and his teachings.  For example, he touches on the falling value of the dollar and how that affects your savings.  He also illustrates the differences between employees, self-employed individuals, business owners, and investors and why it’s important to move from the employed and self-employed side to the business owner and investor side.  This brief picture of information should give you a glimpse of how important it is to invest in assets that put money in your pocket, like businesses and real estate.  Merely saving money and holding onto a 401(K) aren’t enough.
