Webinfiniti.com is offering a contest to win an exclusive theme from Unique Blog Designs.  Apparently, I got in late in the game, but the contest runs through tomorrow, February 15, 2008!  To enter, all you have to do is:

1) Sign up for Webinfiniti.com’s RSS feed.

2) Blog about this contest on your blog (like I am doing here), with a link to the post about the contest.

3) Leave a comment on the post.

The winner gets an exclusive theme from Unique Blog Designs.  If you don’t win the theme, you still have a chance for second and third places.  Second place gets a review on Webinfiniti.com and a 125 x 125 advertising spot for one month, (both of which are valued at $25), and third place gets a 125 x 125 advertising spot for one month, (which is valued at $10).  I have to admit that second and third places are almost as good as first place.  I haven’t seen a contest where a second or third spot gets you free advertising.  That is very valuable.

There are less than 20 entrants, I believe, so whoever enters has a very good chance at winning.  The winner will be drawn tomorrow, February 15th.  (Talk about a nice post-Valentine’s Day present).

Unique Blog Designs has great blog themes and designs.  Prominent bloggers such as John Chow and Jeremy Schoemaker use themes from Unique Blog Designs.  Thus, by winning this exclusive design, you can get your blog off the ground without having to shell out $50-$100 for a premium blog design.

I have seen a good number of these contests, and they represent a very effective method for promoting one’s blog.  They effectively compel bloggers to blog–free of charge–about the site holding the contest.  Well, almost.  Obviously, the winner of the contest receives an award, but the value of that award usually pales in comparison to the value of the traffic received by the site holding the contest.

One day left!  Hurry up and enter!
