Few politicians exist who understand money and the declining value of the U.S. dollar.  Whether or not you like Ron Paul (which is irrelevant here), he gives a nice, straightforward explanation about monetary policy and the Federal Reserve’s role in maintaining the value of the dollar. 

These are issues that affect all of us because the majority of us deal with dollars on a daily basis, and the U.S. dollar plays a major role in the world. 

I won’t try to restate Ron Paul’s take on money or what he says about the value of the U.S. dollar.  In the video below, he generally talks about the following topics: 

1) The dollar’s lack of intrinsic value.

2) The overall depreciation of the dollar.

3) Monetary policy and how money is involved in everything we do.

4) Availability and ease of credit.

5) The Federal Reserve’s creation of money out of thin air.
